The College of Biomedical Science and Engineering of National Yang-Ming University has been founded in 1994. The location of the College is in the second building constructed since the founding of National Yang-Ming University. It nurtures excellent interdisciplinary talents in the fields of medicine and engineering. The school values centripetal force of departments, faculties and students, promotes interdisciplinary and interdepartmental English courses, as well as industrial application and interdisciplinary research and developments of translational medicine.
In response to the rapidly evolving trends in medical technology and engineering, the departments and institutes within the College have undergone several transformations. From its original four founding units, the College has gradually expanded to its current structure, comprising four departments, one institute, and two bachelor’s degree programs.
