Professors Wang, Rui-Yao and Yang, Ya-Ju of the NYCU Department of Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology lead the Neuro-Physical Therapy Laboratory. Together, they have developed an innovative system integrating brain function monitoring, gait analysis, and interactive technology with exercise. This research has gained international acclaim and has been implemented in clinical, community, and long-term care settings. By addressing unmet needs in physical therapy through creative rehabilitation models, their work offers hope for patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and age-related frailty to transition from treatment back to daily life.
